What You'll Do
- Perform screening, evaluation, and treatment of patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders in a long-term care setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on standardized assessments and evidence-based practices
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments to optimize outcomes
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers regarding speech and swallowing disorders
- Document all clinical activities clearly and compliantly in electronic health records
- Participate in team meetings, care conferences, and professional training sessions
- Provide guidance and supervision to CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists, ensuring adherence to all ethical standards
What You Need
Required:- Oklahoma State License or willingness to obtain
- Certification from ASHA in Speech-Language Pathology
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in speech therapy
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in long-term care or similar clinical settings
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
