Travel Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | 48 Hours Guaranteed per Week | 2–3 Weekend Shifts per 4-Week Period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an 18-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Perform and monitor drip titrations and post-cath lab care
• Operate and interpret EKG and BiPAP equipment as needed
• Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate and timely documentation
• Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care technicians across day and night shifts
• Adhere to unit dress code: grey scrubs, no hoodies

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of PCU, IMC, or Stepdown nursing experience
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR, Welch Allyn VS monitors, and Alaris IV pumps

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a PCU or Stepdown setting
• Experience with post-cath lab patient management
• Familiarity with BiPAP management and EKG interpretation
