Chenel Capital Partners is seeking an Investment Associate to join its New York-based investment team supporting Chenel Capital Space Infrastructure I LP, a dedicated growth fund focused on the space economy, space, defense, and strategic infrastructure. We are looking for a candidate with 3-5 years of experience in venture capital. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial modeling, valuation, transaction execution, and commercial diligence skills. Responsibilities Support investments from initial screening through diligence, Investment Committee approval, and closing. Build financial models, valuation analyses, cap tables, ownership scenarios, and return models. Conduct commercial, market, competitive, and financial diligence. Analyze government and commercial contracts, backlog, pipeline, customer concentration, and capital requirements. Prepare Investment Committee memoranda and investment recommendations. Evaluate term sheets, financing structures, investor protections, and transaction economics. Support sourcing and sector research across space infrastructure, aerospace, defense technology, and dual-use markets. Monitor portfolio company performance, financial results, operating milestones, and follow-on investment opportunities. Work directly with founders, executives, investors, legal counsel, advisors, and other transaction counterparties. Candidate Profile 3-5 years of relevant investment or transaction experience. Strong financial modeling and valuation skills. Experience evaluating growth-stage companies and equity transactions. Strong written and analytical capabilities. Ability to manage multiple diligence and transaction workstreams simultaneously. Comfortable developing and defending an independent investment view. Experience in aerospace, defense, deep tech, industrial technology, or government contracting is preferred but not required. Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or advanced degree is beneficial but not required. This is an execution-oriented investing role with significant responsibility and direct exposure to senior investment professionals, company management teams, and portfolio companies. #J-18808-Ljbffr
