Physician (Internal Medicine)

Job Duties

Incumbent provides diagnosis and treatment to active duty and retired military personnel, eligible family members, and civilian personnel presenting with acute episodic or chronic illnesses and complex medical issues.

Evaluates and interprets laboratory and clinical findings to support diagnostic determinations and ensure the development and implementation of appropriate treatment plans.

Develops and executes comprehensive treatment strategies; identifies patient needs and conducts functional assessments to determine and implement appropriate clinical services.

Coordinates referrals to specialty clinics and subspecialists to ensure continuity of care, and initiates urgent interventions including hospitalization when clinically indicated.

Leads and actively contributes to Directorate and MTF quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes and operational effectiveness.
