Key Details Specialty: Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 8 weeks Hours per week: 36 Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Use diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring accurate images and proper transmission to physicians. Prepare and care for patients undergoing radiologic testing. Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients. Follow orders from physicians regarding the imaging area. Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment. Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure by taking appropriate protection precautions. Calibrate imaging equipment. Prepare results for physician review. Maintain accurate patient records. Use the McKesson PACS system. Requirements Minimum 1 year experience as a Radiology Technologist. BLS certification. ARRT (R) National Certification. State-specific licensing (when required). Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop for extended periods. Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
