Job Description

Job Summary:
Performs diagnostic CT imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality images while maintaining safety and compliance protocols. Provides patient care, verifies radiopharmaceutical doses, and maintains accurate documentation throughout the imaging process.

Responsibilities:

• Execute CT procedures according to established protocols to ensure consistent and accurate imaging results.
• Perform daily quality control calibration checks on all CT equipment to verify proper operation before patient studies.
• Inject patients with radiopharmaceuticals, following physician orders and prescribed safety protocols.
• Maintain detailed records by completing logs, manuals, charge documents, and reporting equipment issues to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct quality assurance and safety tests, adhering to radiation safety guidelines like ALARA principles.
• Prepare, retrieve, and manage patient films and electronic data for radiologist interpretation.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an JCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Hold a current New York State License (L.R.T.) and ARRT certification in Radiography and CT.
• Possess at least 1 year of hands-on CT imaging experience.
• Maintain BLS certification.
• Ability to verify radiopharmaceutical doses and ensure proper receipt and activity level prior to administration.
