Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients from pediatric to geriatric stages using standardized tools and observational strategies.
• Create tailored treatment plans addressing immediate and long-term needs for communication, cognition, and swallowing.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and dysphagia.
• Work collaboratively with a team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to implement cohesive care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to ensure ongoing progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, maintaining seamless care throughout each patient's journey.
• Keep thorough and timely documentation following state, federal, and facility regulations.
• Commit to ongoing education and professional development to stay updated with innovations in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
