Description Conduct thorough evaluations of patients from pediatric to geriatric stages using standardized tools and observational strategies. Create tailored treatment plans addressing immediate and long-term needs for communication, cognition, and swallowing. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and dysphagia. Work collaboratively with a team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to implement cohesive care plans. Educate patients and their families to ensure ongoing progress outside of therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, maintaining seamless care throughout each patient's journey. Keep thorough and timely documentation following state, federal, and facility regulations. Commit to ongoing education and professional development to stay updated with innovations in the field. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist . Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire. Skills Strong background in evidence-based treatment methodologies for various age groups, alongside a profound understanding of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
