Hospital Housekeeper - Day Shift, Full-Time

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform cleaning and housekeeping projects following all department and hospital policies regarding hand‑washing, personal protective equipment, and other infection control practices. Remove all regular and medical waste. Clean and disinfect all bathrooms and fixtures according to departmental guidelines. Clean and disinfect all patient rooms on a daily basis per departmental guidelines. Perform all cleaning functions as scheduled (high and low dusting, disinfecting all surfaces, window cleaning, dry and wet mopping). Maintain all floor surfaces (dry and wet mopping, vacuuming, carpet shampooing or extraction, stripping, scrubbing, refinishing, burnishing). Complete all housekeeping projects as assigned (stairwells, elevators, doors…). Attend monthly department meetings. Perform other duties consistent with the purpose of the job as directed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent. 2 years of housekeeping experience preferred in education, healthcare, and/or business and industry.
