Stepdown/PCU Registered Nurse

Stepdown/PCU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2 years current experience in a stepdown or PCU unit License: Active KY or compact license required Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIH required Must-Have: Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered. Description: 34 Bed Stepdown/PCU unit with 1:5 patient ratios. Meditech EMR is utilized. Float required within the scope of practice. Every other weekend required. Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated. Travelers must work a schedule of 84 hours every two weeks. Orientation is bi-weekly. Patience ratios can fluctuate with census and call-ins. Resource must be able to sign the assignment confirmation within 24 hours of the offer. Valid driver's license is required. Candidates must have 2 years of experience in the specialty to be considered. Two references required: one from a charge nurse or higher and one from a supervisor, both must be completed within the last year. Copy of certifications is required to submit. Candidates must be willing to work major or minor holidays. No changes to requested time off will be accepted after submission. Travel pairs are limited and cannot be on the same shift or unit. Background checks must be clear with any issues submitted upfront. Travelers must take a minimum 6-month break after one year of working to be eligible to return.
