We are seeking a team member who is able to: Apply thoughtful, critical analysis to financial reporting. Deliver outstanding customer service to the multiple agency partners we support. Confidently form and communicate independent, well-reasoned opinions. The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay. Prepare and analyze statewide financial reports, such as but not limited to the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, following Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Review and assess the impact of proposed Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) statements and identify their potential impact on state-wide financial statements. Extract, analyze, and interpret financial data from the statewide accounting system. Assist in maintaining, reviewing, and evaluating the statewide accounting system to ensure accuracy and reliability. Provide responsive, knowledgeable customer support to State agency personnel on a wide variety of accounting issues. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 2-4 years of relevant experience and/or appropriate certification. Substitutions may be allowed, including (but not limited to) professional certifications or additional relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience interpreting and applying GAAP. Knowledge of Governmental Accounting and GASB Standards. Proficiency with Microsoft Access and Excel. Familiarity with the statewide accounting system and data warehouse reports. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Flexibility, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively with minimal supervision. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with team members and agency partners.
