Pharmacy Technician

We are looking for a dependable Pharmacy Technician that will process and fill prescriptions as well as help in the front store customer service. You will undertake tasks under the direction of a pharmacist to provide excellent customer service and ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly. As a pharmacy technician you must be detail-oriented and reliable since the job has high responsibility. You must possess excellent communication skills as well as aptitude in using computers.

Business hours are Monday to Friday between 9:00 am to 6:00 pm ( No Weekends)

- Part-time (Mon-Thursdays 9AM - 3 PM + Fridays 9AM - 6 PM) likely to lead to full time based on performance

- Full-time ( Monday - Friday 9 AM - 6 PM)

Responsibilities

• Clean surfaces and equipment and prepare the pharmacy for opening
• Excellent customer service and phone etiquette
• Receive prescriptions and check their validity
• Process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate
• Resolve issues when they arise (e.g. rejected insurance claims)
• Select the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions
• Sort, stock, label medication and monitor inventory
• Undertake administrative tasks (e.g. Record-keeping) as assigned
• Comply with all security measures and quality standards
• Local Deliveries within walking distance
• help front store with merchandising and customer service

Skills :

• Retail Experience & Knowledge of Pioneer Rx system is a BIG PLUS
• Spanish Speaker is a Plus
• Must have a current California Technician License in good standing and Clear
• Must have great knowledge of brand and generic medications *****
• Knowledgeable about pharmacy regulations and laws
• Must be able to type fast and accurate.
• Be a team player, friendly and willing to learn on the job

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Pharmacy Technician Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
• PioneedRx knowledge ( Preferred)
• Compounding experience ( Prefered )

Language:

• other languages besides English? if so please list (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Pharmacy Technician Certification (Preferred)
