Overview Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ. The role involves installing and programming security systems, providing customer service, and maintaining field inventory. This is an onsite, full‑time position (Tuesday–Saturday) requiring a vehicle and willingness to travel within 2 ZIP codes. Day‑to‑Day Duties Installation and programming of burglar alarms, CCTV (IP & Analog), DVRs, and access control systems for residential customers; Installing window breaks, door units, and smoke detectors; Troubleshooting signal issues to ensure proper alarm functionality; Daily customer interaction on site and in lower‑level customer care; Testing and verifying equipment signals; Training customers on equipment use and addressing all questions; Completing necessary customer paperwork for each job; Accounting for all parts utilized for each installation before closing out the job with the dispatch center; Maintaining accurate truck inventory of ADT products; Providing top‑quality customer service; Achieving 90% goal attainment for completed installations and zero go‑backs. Qualifications The ideal candidate brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn. Preference is given to candidates with hands‑on experience in customer service, outdoor work, or manual tasks over strictly IT or office backgrounds. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Professional appearance and punctuality; Reliability, adaptability, and problem‑solving mindset; Customer‑centric approach and confidence in explaining systems; Physical capability to lift, crawl, climb ladders, and work in residential environments. Tools & Equipment Candidate must supply the following: a 6‑foot ladder (or a folding ladder to fit a sedan), screwdrivers (preferably electric), wire cutters, and a hand sheetrock saw. The role does not reimburse for personal tools but reimburses mileage if exceeding 40 miles from the work location. Vehicle & Travel On‑site work is limited to within a zip code or two from the candidate’s residence. Mileage beyond 40 miles may be reimbursed in rare cases. Training & Pay Training duration is approximately 4–5 weeks, contingent on skill acquisition and licensing. Pay range: $20.00–$21.00 per hour.
