About the Organization We are a surfing‑inspired sustainable development non‑profit organization driving change in impoverished Peruvian coastal communities. Our mission is to deliver environmental, educational, infrastructure, and socio‑economic initiatives that empower local communities through clean energy solutions. Key Accomplishments Installed a 13.04 kWp microgrid in Justo Pastor, Nazca, providing the first reliable energy source to the community. Installed an 11.28 kWp system for a medical centre in Talara, Piura, protecting vaccines, medications and powering core operations. Designed and implemented improved cookstoves for clean cooking access and respiratory health using bioconstruction techniques. Continuously expanding clean‑energy programs such as resilient medical centres, household PV installations, and free energy consultations. Position: Professional Volunteer (Renewable Energy Intern) As a Professional Volunteer you’ll co‑manage our groundbreaking clean energy initiatives in Lobitos. Daily tasks will vary across the project life‑cycle, offering diverse experiences and growth opportunities. Responsibilities Design innovative renewable energy solutions and implement enhancements to existing systems. Spearhead research efforts and develop mechanical and electrical solutions for solar distillers, improved cookstoves, and other renewable devices. Collaborate with the Director of Renewable Energy and the Renewable Energy Supervisor to manage project budgets, strengthening financial planning and resource management skills. Contribute to hands‑on installation work and maintenance to ensure project longevity and sustainability. Lead crowdfunding campaigns to secure essential funding for new energy projects, sharpening marketing and outreach expertise. Participate in educational seminars led by experienced directors on topics such as international development, NGO/social enterprise management, marketing, research techniques, and more. Qualifications Driven and committed, with a passion for renewable energy or related fields. Relevant background knowledge and experience in renewable technologies, project management, or sustainable development. Strong problem‑solving skills, creativity, and a desire to work collaboratively in an international setting.
