Associate Project ManagerHerndon, VAOverviewAs an Associate Project Manager, you will manage project lifecycles from inception to close including resource scheduling, logistic coordination, cost accounting, invoicing and follow-up for small to mid-size internal and external customers.Your ImpactThe essential functions of this position include:Run small to mid-size projects from initial Statement of Work (SOW) to completionEnter quotes and orders into Professional Services Automation toolsWork with the Sales and Engineering teams to ensure that all project related documents, including Statements of Work, customer purchase orders, timesheets and job costing documents are properly completedCreate vendor purchase orders and process invoices for paymentWork with internal constituents and customers to define resource requirements, prioritize and develop schedulesPlan and schedule project deliverables, goals, and milestonesManage all project communication with customers and Account ManagersConduct regular face-to-face project status meetings or conference calls with customersEfficiently identify and solve project issuesKeep management informed of any issues related to projectManage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scopeEnsure projects are completed on time and within budgetReview deliverables prepared by team before passing to clientEffectively apply ePlus project management methodology and enforce project standardsMinimize our exposure and risk on projectManage project budget and forecastingTrack and report team hours and expenses on a weekly basisAssure project legal documents are completed and signedObtain project completion signatures and ensure timely invoicingOther duties, as assignedQualifications2-5 years of experience in an operations or project management role in an IT environmentDesire to achieve CAPM or PMP (Project Management Professional) CertificationBachelor's degree preferredProven history delivering small and mid-size projects with hands-on project management experienceProficient with Microsoft Office productsStrong organizational and customer service skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsProfessional demeanor and good communication skillsKnowledge of project management methodologyKnowledge of Microsoft Project preferredPosition SpecificsThe initial base salary range for this position is expected to be between $50,000 and $80,000 annually. The final base salary offered will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, depth of experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
