The Auto/Diesel Mechanic repairs automotive equipment, including but not limited to, trucks, carts, buggies, air compressors, welding machines, cranes, dirt equipment and trailers. Non-exempt role; Reports to Direct Supervisor / Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently. Essential Qualifications:High school or equivalentMust have own tools and toolboxMust have a minimum of 2-5 years experience with heavy equipment, cars and trucksMust have a valid driver's license and dependable transportationGeneral gasoline and diesel engine knowledgeAbility to diagnose and repair equipmentOrganizational skillsAbility to prioritize and work self-directed and alone at timesASME certified preferredTechnical training and/or industrial related safety experience Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband PolicyComply with company and client job site safety requirementsMust not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace Functional Requirements:Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various automotive and heavy equipment, Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction. CompensationFinal agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. BenefitsDepending on your employment status, benefits include health, dental, vision, life, ADD, voluntary life / ADD, disability benefits, leaves of absence, 401k, paid time off, paid holidays, telehealth access, and employee assistance program. Physical Involvement:May be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions; handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing / sitting; walking; pushing; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting ; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; wearing respirator and other PPE; stepstool use; work in excessive heat; work in excessive cold; work in loud environment Turner Industries is an equal employment opportunity employer.
