Company Headquarters: Chester, MDProject Location: Philadelphia, PATravel: Project-based travel as neededJob Type: Full-Time OverviewDrill-Tech is seeking an HDD Equipment Operator to support horizontal directional drilling crews on underground utility projects in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.Headquartered in Chester, Maryland, Drill-Tech performs HDD and underground utility work throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.This is a hands-on field position responsible for operating HDD equipment and supporting drilling operations while working closely with foremen, locators, and crew members. ResponsibilitiesOperate HDD equipment during drilling operationsAssist with drilling, reaming, pullback, and pipe installationOperate support equipment including skid steers, excavators, and loadersPerform daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenanceAssist with mud mixing and drilling fluid managementSupport equipment mobilization and demobilizationWork closely with foremen, locators, and field crewsMaintain safe work practices and jobsite standards QualificationsExperience operating HDD equipment or related heavy equipmentExperience with Vermeer 23x30, 24x40, or similar directional drills preferredExperience operating skid steers, excavators, loaders, or similar equipmentValid driver's licenseAbility to work outdoors and travel as project needs require Preferred QualificationsClass A CDLOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 CertificationExperience operating Vermeer 100-series drills or larger HDD equipmentExperience with 300,000 lb or 500,000 lb maxi rigsExperience with mud systems, drilling fluids, pumps, and recyclersExperience with DigiTrak or ParaTrack locating systemsExperience with McElroy fusion equipment BenefitsHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insurancePaid holidaysOpportunities for advancement within a growing HDD contractor
