Key Responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy treatments in accordance with APTA standards to address disabilities, injuries, and diseases
• Relieve pain, restore motor function, and support patients in maintaining optimal physical performance
• Interpret physician orders and develop individualized, effective treatment plans for inpatient physical therapy patients
• Organize and monitor the work of others as needed within the therapy department
• Collaborate professionally with patients, nursing staff, physicians, and other hospital personnel
• Work independently with minimal supervision in an inpatient acute care setting

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Physical Therapy or a related field
• Current California Physical Therapy license , or eligibility for registration
• Current BLS certification required
• One to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills sufficient to meet the demands of the role
• Valid California driver's license and evidence of automobile insurance when travel is required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with inpatient acute care settings strongly preferred
• Membership in the APTA preferred
• Demonstrated ability to organize and oversee the work of others
