About the Position

Emergency MD

Location: AR

Schedule: Minimum availability 3 shifts per month; shift options include Mon-Thu 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM, 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM; Fri-Sun 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Position Overview

Provide emergency medicine physician coverage in a busy emergency department.

Practice Details

  • Annual volume: 33,500
  • Average patients/day: 91
  • Admission rate: 20.1%
  • Trauma designation: Level III
  • ED beds: 20; ICU beds: 12
  • EMR: Meditech
  • No call requirement

Required Qualifications

  • Board certified ABEM or ABOEM (alternative boards not accepted)
  • Emergency Medicine residency trained
  • Active Arkansas medical license required to proceed
  • ACLS, PALS, and ATLS required

Credentialing / Onboarding

  • Privileging timeframe: approximately 120 days
  • Complete file requirements include application, three references, Arkansas license, Arkansas DEA, required certifications, certificate of insurance, and photo
