Safety Specialist (Safety Lead) in Jackson

Job Description Responsible for ensuring floor safety and safety compliance through education, communication, and enforcement of OSHA policies and Pacific Manufacturing Floor safety policies and procedures; create a positive safety culture at Pacific manufacturing through example and commitment. Lead and support Safety and Kaizen activities in all departments to improve floor safety. Essential Functions Inventory and order PPE, First aid supplies, and other miscellaneous safety items Coordinate, conduct, and track safety issues Work with all departments to promote a positive safety culture Maintain PPE vending machines and access to the PPE vending machines Ability to train others to develop Standard Work with safety/ergonomic risk reduction Evaluate new equipment installation and conduct safety risk audit Perform training for LOTO, forklift, and book lift as needed CPS/First Responder Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing/Safety lead role Associate’s degree, technical degree, or higher OSHA 10/30 Training TPS Knowledge, Muda, 5S, Kiken Yochi mindset Knowledge of Japanese manufacturing principles including but not limited to 5S and Kanban system Excellent communication, organization, and attendance skills Physical Requirements Ability to lift 33 lbs Maintain Forklift Certification/LOTO Certification/Ariel Lift Training/Safety Ability to distinguish between colors Company Description Pacific Manufacturing TN is a Stamping and Robotic Welding Division.
