Lathe Operator II

Job Description A Manual Lathe Operator is responsible for setting up, calibrating, and operating conventional manual lathes to machine precision components. The operator performs turning, facing, boring, threading, drilling, and cutting operations while maintaining dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements. The operator is experienced in machining a variety of aerospace and specialty materials, including: Machine parts to blueprint specifications and tight tolerances. Perform turning, facing, boring, threading, grooving, drilling, and cutoff operations. Calculate and manually adjust speeds, feeds, and depths of cut based on material type. Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment to ensure compliance with specifications. Maintain tooling and equipment in proper working condition. Work with difficult-to-machine materials such as Inconel, Titanium, CRES, and Alloy Steel while achieving required quality standards.
