Communications Coordinator

Summary Coordinator Communication Operator is responsible for coordinating the efficient and effective operation of the Communications department, including the mailroom. Responsibilities Under the direction of the Communications Supervisor, coordinate the efficient and effective operation of the Communications department including the mailroom. Assist the Supervisor and Director with operating the department within the guidelines of the FTE budget, operating budget, and hospital policy. Review relevant policies, confirm accuracy of procedural steps, consult with the Supervisor for any needed changes, and update code cards accordingly. Ensure all training and department new hire materials are current, including the job responsibilities and hospital policy, and post updated training content in Microsoft Teams for ongoing reference. Coordinate follow‑up training for the team and individuals by researching and compiling relevant materials to support understanding of policy changes, process updates, or software upgrades. Audit guidebooks consistently to identify and implement needed updates. Create and implement written and verbal training; ensure staff compliance and understanding. Continuously seek out and incorporate additional resources that may benefit the department and hospital. Experience Two years of Communications/Dispatch/Switchboard experience. Attendant Console experience - Preferred License / Certification / Education High School or Equivalent - Required Other Available to work within a 24/7/365 hospital on‑call setting.
