This is a flexible and rewarding remote volunteer opportunity which can fit your lifestyle. Your efforts will save lives! This is a great opportunity for an individual person or a group.

MatchingDonors.com welcomes all volunteers for its opportunities, including individuals with F-1 status through Optional Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT).

You will be working directly with the CEO of MatchingDonors.com, and our hundreds of media, sports, and Hollywood contacts.

There have been hundreds of thousands of news broadcasts, radio and print articles done about MatchingDonors.com in the past twenty years. NBC’s The Today Show, 60 Minutes, C-SPAN, The Discovery Channel, ABC News, Fox News, CNN, ABC’s Nightline, the BBC, and many others have shown 1/2 hour and hour- long shows about us. MatchingDonors.com has been in or on the front page of about every major newspaper and magazine in the country.

MatchingDonors.com now needs your help as our professional Public Relations Specialist to increase our presence and engage our community. You’ll share our story and mission with the world. In this role, you will craft compelling narratives that highlight the successes and aspirations of our MatchingDonors.com patients and organ donors. Through compelling content and strategic communication efforts, you'll amplify our voice and support our mission to help save the lives of people needing organ transplants.

Besides the joy of joining our team of warm, inclusive, and fun-loving volunteers that make a tangible difference in the lives of people needing organ transplants, you and all our volunteers have the opportunity to be awarded the President’s Volunteer Service Award.

Through MatchingDonors.com, as an official certifying organization, our volunteers are eligible to receive the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) for their dedication to helping MatchingDonors.com. Our volunteers that achieve the minimum 100 hours of volunteering, receive a personalized congratulatory letter from the President of the United States, a certificate, a medallion, and a pin.

Your Role:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive public relations strategy that enhances visibility and supports our goals.
• Craft press releases, media alerts, and other materials that compellingly convey our mission and achievements.
• Build and maintain relationships with our existing and new media outlets, journalists, and other key influencers to secure and grow media coverage.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on PR campaign results, adjusting strategies as needed to maximize effectiveness.
• Collaborate with our team to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
• Create and schedule engaging content across our social media platforms.
• Work with our social media people to help increase our reach and impact.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 year's experience in public relations
• Proven experience in public relations, media relations, or a similar field.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, persuasive, and original content.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
