Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab/EP RN with at least 2 years of recent specialty experience and strong interventional cardiac skills for a day-shift hospital assignment.

Details

Work in the hospital's Cath Lab performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures

Average daily census of 4 procedures per lab with 16 visits per day

Patient ratios of 1:4 days and 1:3 nights

Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

On-call required, including weekends

Regular floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed

Uses EPIC charting system

Requirements

Active RN license - Missouri and Kansas or compact license in hand at time of consideration

Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab/EP specialty experience, with no employment gaps greater than 90 days in the past year

Previous charge nurse experience required

Teaching hospital experience preferred

Proficient in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including PCI, TAVR, Watchman, Rotablator atherectomy, IABP and Impella insertion, and pacemaker insertion

Skilled in sheath removal/monitoring, vascular closure systems, ACT monitoring, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring

Experience with hemodynamic monitoring including right and left heart catheterization and Swan Ganz monitoring

Competent in IV therapy, central line assistance, blood product administration, and PICC line care

Experience with EPIC charting system required

Two professional references required, one from a supervisor and one from a charge RN, both from within the past year

Additional Information

Circulate and scrub for cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures in a Hybrid OR and Cath Lab setting

Scrubs provided by facility

Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted for this position

Maximum RTO of 7 days, with all time-off requests finalized at the time of consideration

No additional RTO or schedule changes permitted after offer or onsite

Prior BJC or Saint Luke's employees must have a 3-month break in service after 18 months of employment, and permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a travamper
