Maintenance Spray Technician

Reports To: Maintenance Division Manager

Summary Description

The Maintenance Spray Technician is responsible for performing lawncare service work that includes chemicals for weekly maintenance customers. The Spray Technician must be able to train other crew members on how they can identify when the Spray Technician is needed. This position requires a detailed knowledge of the products and services the Spray Technician provides so that it can be communicated to the customer clearly. Applicant must have a valid driver's license, good driving history, and pass a drug screening.

Specific Responsibilities

The following duties are typical for this classification. Incumbents may not perform all duties listed and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.

• Perform lawncare service work including fertilizing, spraying, liming, aerations, and seeding
• Train new employees to increase their knowledge and ability to assist you as the Spray Technician
• Manage productivity
• Licensing/recertification
• Organize and manage route assignments
• Oversee daily production and performance
• Customer service
• Manage materials inventory
• MSDS binder
• Be able to use the following equipment:
• Measure Wheels
• Spray Wands
• Back Packs
• Soil Probes
• Spreaders
• Hoses
• Covers and Screens
• pH Meters
• Aerators
• Spill Kits
• Take care of the warehouse/fill station by keeping supplies, tools, and equipment clean and organized
• Complete all assigned tasks to specified quality levels by their agreed deadline
• Provide outstanding customer service
• Maintain and use Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
• Be familiar with the company's maintenance program and guidelines
• Communicate to the Field Service Supervisor any concerns or issues noted on current maintenance customer properties

Requirements

-Read, write and speak in English

-Have a valid Georgia driver's license, an insurable driving record, and qualify to drive company vehicles

-Demonstrate the ability to lead, supervise, and set priorities

-Demonstrate ability to train others
