HR Generalist

Human Resources Generalist Transdev in San Diego, CA is hiring a Human Resources Coordinator/Generalist to support the management team with full-cycle recruiting and other HR-related responsibilities. The role requires a customer‑service oriented professional dedicated to safety. Key Responsibilities Full-cycle recruiting: reviewing applications, scheduling and hosting interviews, and hiring candidates through the Jobvite Applicant Tracking System. Create and maintain employee files, complete all new hire EEO/AAP documents and onboarding paperwork. Manage driver and staff payroll and leaves of absence, including FMLA tracking. Educate employees on benefits provided. Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with background checks, drug and alcohol screens, and E-Verify requirements. Support employees with internal and external transfer requests and procedures. Other duties as required. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of Human Resources experience. College coursework in a related field preferred. Computer‑literate with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. Physical Requirements Work outside in varying temperatures, weather, and humidity conditions – 100% of the job is performed outside, often alone, and in remote locations. Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk long distances on possible sloped or uneven surfaces. Push and pull objects up to 50 lbs.; occasionally lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level. Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing job duties; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise. Benefits Competitive compensation, $29,000 – $36,250 annually. Vacation: minimum of two weeks. Sick days: 5 days. Holidays: 12 days (8 standard and 4 floating).
