Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to adult patients in a Medical Surgical unit during night shifts, ensuring patient safety and optimal recovery.
Responsibilities:

Deliver direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and wound care.
Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
Document patient information accurately in the EPIC system.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
Float between units as needed within scope, providing coverage for various patient needs.
Maintain compliance with facility policies, including BLS certification and travel requirements.
Qualifications:
Valid RN license in good standing, with either OK or Compact license required at submission.
Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience preferred; 2 years is ideal.
BLS certification required prior to start.
Ability to work 36 or 48-hour night shifts, with float capability within scope.
Experienced with EPIC documentation system preferred.
Willingness to travel and adapt to unit needs, with orientation provided onsite.
