Psychiatric Nursing - Registered Nurse - Nights Shift

Job Title: PSYCH Location: Lewiston, Maine Schedule: 7:00PM - 7:00AM x 3 Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension Pay Rate: $59 - $63/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a PSYCH for a temporary assignment in Lewiston, Maine. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a PSYCH:

Provide direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all assigned areas Develop and periodically update individualized, interdisciplinary plans of care Evaluate patient outcomes and identify available resources for patients Care for patients age 5 and up with psychiatric illnesses, including those with co-occurring medical care needs Support patients with diagnoses including major depression, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorder, and psychotic disorders Provide care for patients in need of or requesting detoxification services Maintain valid State of Maine RN license Maintain current BLS certification Maintain current CPI training prior to start Apply at least 1 year of previous mental health nursing experience Demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Function as an effective team player Manage stress appropriately and make decisions under pressure Provide flexible coverage 24 hours per day, 7 days per week
