Staff Accountant

4Life Main 9850 S 300 W Sandy, UT 84070, USA The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the monthly and annual accounting close processes through preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial analyses, and reporting activities. This position works closely with internal departments to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with company policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, analytical, and capable of managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Job Functions Prepare and post monthly journal entries to support month‑end and year‑end close processes. Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate reconciling items. Complete bank reconciliations and related cash analysis. Reconcile inventory and intercompany accounts across multiple entities. Prepare supporting schedules for financial reporting and audits. Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as required. Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and documentation. Collaborate with cross‑functional departments to gather financial information and resolve issues. Qualifications Bachelor’s in accounting or related field required. 1‑3 years of accountant experience preferred. Financial statement analysis preferred. Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations. Experience with multi‑entity accounting and consolidations preferred. Basic knowledge of GAAP. Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Knowledge of internal controls and accounting procedures. Skills Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and data analysis functions. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
