Interim Nurse Manager Labor and Delivery Kirby Bates Associates, a nationally recognized healthcare leadership firm, is seeking an Interim Nurse Manager of Labor and Delivery for an engagement in Washington State. This high-volume facility averages 550–600 deliveries per month and features a Level IV NICU, providing comprehensive care for the most complex neonatal cases. Overview: The Interim Manager will oversee approximately 140 full-time equivalents (FTEs) and report to the Senior Director of Women’s & Children’s Services. This is a dynamic leadership opportunity within a well-established healthcare organization. Responsibilities: Oversee labor and delivery operations for a high-volume facility with Level IV NICU capabilities. Lead and develop nursing staff and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams. Partner with executive leadership to ensure quality, safety, and patient-centered care. Manage staffing, budgets, and operational performance for the department. Qualifications: Washington Registered Nurse License (Washington state is a compact state). 3+ years of Labor and Delivery leadership experience. BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association. Our leaders receive an attractive compensation package including housing, transportation, and regular travel home. The pay rate for this position is $800–$850 per day ($208,000–$221,000 annually). The final pay rate is determined by experience, expertise, and education.
