Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2250 per week.

Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 24 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine.

• 24 months gap required between for Travel at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine.

Additional Details:

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

Special Requests: If the candidate worked at a permanent facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from that facility. Cumulative experience applies for previous travelers. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job being applied to. No previous employment allowed at this facility. Manager makes the schedule and is open to working with block scheduling based on traveler preferences.

Unit Details: Patient mix includes CP, CHF, pneumonia, abdominal pain, pancreatitis, orthopedic, detox, post-op, and pediatric patients. The unit may take most Med-Surg patients except laboring mothers and patients on titrating cardiac or insulin drips. Telemetry monitoring uses ICU monitors; ICU reads strips and faxes them to Med-Surg for nurse documentation. Respiratory equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow; RT assists with and manages this equipment.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend required. Holidays rotate with regular staff. No call. Extra shifts may be available.

Floating Requirements: Frequently floats to assist other units as a tasker or extra set of hands.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
