Senior Manager – Frontend Software Engineer (Multiple Positions) EY – Ernst & Young U.S. LLP – Charlotte, NC – Job No: 1710659. Overview Guide and lead engagement teams of software development engineers in designing, developing, integrating, testing, implementing, and deploying front‑end applications. Provide technical leadership, influence architectural decisions and shape the front‑end roadmap. Manage client relationships, budgets, timelines, and deliver high‑quality, scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate engagement teams in the design, development and maintenance of web application UI/UX. Advocate for best practices in front‑end development, code quality, maintainability and scalability. Collaborate with designers, product managers and back‑end engineers to deliver seamless user experiences. Research and evaluate new front‑end tools, frameworks and technologies. Mentor and develop junior engineers. Provide technical direction, manage client relationships, program budgets and timelines. Develop long‑term client relationships and manage risk. Drive new business opportunities. Minimum Requirements Minimum 8 years of work experience (or 7 years with a Master’s), with at least 5 years of progressive post‑baccalaureate experience. Minimum 7 years of hands‑on coding of customer‑facing enterprise business class systems, including UI/UX development from mock‑ups to prototypes. 7 years of experience with: JavaScript , Node.js , HTML & CSS , Angular and/or React ; RESTful APIs and JSON with tools such as Postman; web security using OWASP practices. 7 years of experience as a Front‑End developer. 7 years of experience with at least one of: React , NextJS , Angular , Node.js , Electron , React Native or Vue.js ; at least one IDE (Visual Studio Code, WebStorm, etc.); and expertise in building, testing, debugging and deploying responsive web applications. 7 years of experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines Git , BitBucket , GitHub ; Jenkins , TeamCity . 7 years of experience working in Agile, TDD/BDD environments and collaborating on requirements and user stories. 6 years of experience as a technology consultant for a professional services firm. 4 years of experience leading planning workshops, client presentations and managing teams of developers. 6 years of combined experience with CSS preprocessors, build tools and version control (e.g. WebPack, Grunt, Gulp, Sass, Less); and caching technologies such as CDN or localStorage. 6 years of experience in debugging, performance tuning with JMeter, K6 or browser developer tools. 6 years of experience delivering WCAG‑compliant accessibility interfaces and responsive web design across devices. 6 years of testing experience with Jest, Cucumber, Selenium, WebDriverIO or similar.
