Ensure people stay mobile, safe, and independent by providing timely service for their home medical equipment.

Stride Mobility Group is looking for a reliable, mechanically inclined Service Technician to help us serve patients and facilities in the Akron area. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and doing meaningful work that directly impacts people’s daily lives.

What You’ll Do

As a Service Technician, you will help deliver, set up, adjust, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mobility equipment for clients who rely on it every day.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering and setting up home medical and custom rehab equipment
• Adjusting equipment to meet each client’s individual needs as directed by the ATP
• Supporting ATPs with equipment-related needs, including ordering and tracking as needed
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical and basic electronic components
• Educating clients, families, caregivers, and facility staff on proper use, care, safety, cleaning, and troubleshooting
• Communicating with clients about concerns, repairs, next steps, and resolutions
• Working with manufacturers’ tech support to identify parts and resolve equipment issues
• Working with the customer service team to coordinate daily routes and service visits
• Returning, cleaning, disinfecting, and storing equipment according to company policy
• Maintaining service records, delivery documentation, mileage logs, vehicle checks, and equipment tracking
• Representing Stride Mobility Group with professionalism, patience, and a solution-focused mindset

Our Service Technicians spend much of their time on the road visiting clients in their homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, clinics, and other care settings throughout Ohio. A company vehicle is provided.

• Ability to work independently while staying organized and connected to the team
• Comfort using basic electronic devices and learning company systems
• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• High school diploma or GED

Experience with DME, complex rehab technology, wheelchairs, power mobility, equipment repair, field service, automotive repair, appliance repair, small engine repair, or similar hands-on work is a plus. Please note that this role includes regular driving, standing, walking, sitting, using tools and equipment, and working in client homes and care facilities. Candidates must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds and may occasionally work in inclement weather conditions.
