Title: Med-Surg Nursing Manager
Location: Georgetown, TX
Schedule: Full-Time, Days (No Weekends)
Compensation: $85,000 - $113,000/year (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000
Position Overview
A well-regarded acute care hospital north of Austin, TX is seeking a Med Surg Nursing Manager to lead its 45-bed Med Surg unit. This hands-on leadership role ensures high-quality patient care, staff development, and operational efficiency while maintaining a strong presence on the floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Med Surg unit, ensuring safe, patient-centered care
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including delegation and performance evaluations
- Round on patients and staff daily to maintain high standards and support team needs
- Oversee compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Monitor unit performance metrics and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with hospital leadership and other departments to optimize patient care
Required Qualifications
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing
- Current RN license in Texas (or compact license eligibility)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to be hands-on when necessary
- BLS certification

- Reports to Director of Med Surg (overseeing 3 Med Surg units)
- Unit size: 45 beds with a variety of diagnoses
- Eligible for sign-on bonus and relocation assistance
