Job TitleDetail-oriented individual to drive quality and quality-related development work related to Sinclair's applications.ResponsibilitiesOperations, Collaboration & PartnershipsRecommend and assist in corrective actions taken at all stages of product lifeSubmit and track production (maintenance) and release issuesReview functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of deliverablesEstimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing efforts across multiple projectsDevelop and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, project test progress and release reports, application turnover documents and test schedulesDesign and implement software testing solutions via automated and manual meansPerform backend database testing in identified testing environment including validating stored procedures, jobs and triggersIdentify, document and track bugsCollaborate with development team and business to troubleshoot issuesEnsure projects meet customer requirements and objectivesPerformance ImprovementHelp the software applications team to maintain a level of excellenceDevelop and refine test case standards, methodologies and sustainable processesDevelop and evaluate performance metrics to establish process successDesign, document and implement procedures and techniques that are consistent with best practices for analyzing, testing, and evaluating the risk (software & business), accuracy, completeness, internal integrity/consistency, testability and overall quality of systemResearch emerging technologies and identify opportunities for adoptionTrack operations and constantly look for ways to make things work better, faster, and smootherQualificationsBachelor's degree in IT discipline or equivalent work experience3-6+ years of application testing experienceExperience reporting, regressing and reproducing software problemsExperience with relational databases (administration and T-SQL); understanding of SQL and ability to query/validate sets of dataExperience testing 3rd party applications, determining root cause, and partnering with 3rd party vendors to resolve issuesExperience working with a formal Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processAgile experience preferredExperience in both front and back-end testingFamiliarity and experience with automated testing tools such as Robot Framework, Selenium, etc. preferredFamiliarity and experience with AI testing tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, etc. preferredExperience using one or more of the following tools a plus: Jira, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Visual Studio / GitThrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, and demonstrate strong judgment in the face of ambiguityPlease note that this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship, including employer sponsorship for an H-1B visa, OPT-STEM employment, etc.EEO AND INCLUSIVITY:Sinclair is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and a drug free workplace. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
