Interventional Radiology Technologist

The Interventional Radiology Cath Lab Technician is responsible for providing specialized technical support during interventional radiology and cardiology procedures. This role involves preparing and assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining equipment. The technician collaborates closely with medical staff to facilitate efficient and effective patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain interventional radiology and cardiology equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of procedures and equipment usage.
• Coordinate with the healthcare team to schedule and manage procedural workflow.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.

• Certification as a Radiology Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist.
• Experience in interventional radiology or cath lab environment.
• Strong knowledge of radiologic equipment and imaging techniques.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a clinical setting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Advanced certifications related to interventional radiology or cardiology technologies.
• Experience with scheduling and managing procedural requests.
• Familiarity with patient monitoring and emergency response protocols.

• Willingness to work weekends, potentially exceeding every other weekend to meet unit needs.
• Availability to work on three out of five major holidays annually.
• Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered.

• Work schedule includes weekend shifts and holiday coverage as specified.
• Shift assignments are based on unit needs and may require flexibility.
