Registered Nurse - CVICU

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced CVICU registered nurse to provide specialized care in a cardiac intensive care setting. This position requires dedication to patient recovery and expertise in managing complex cardiovascular conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor critically ill cardiothoracic ICU patients to ensure optimal care.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per protocol.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient progress accurately and update healthcare team regularly.
• Maintain compliance with ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certification standards.
• Manage post-operative care for patients with cardiac surgeries, including those with cardiogenic shock and AAA.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent CVICU or cardiothoracic ICU experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in managing patients with CV surgical procedures and complex diagnoses.
• Hold active ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Have PICC line insertion and management experience.
• Exhibit travel experience with a willingness to accept local candidates at a reduced rate.
• Adapt to 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced environment.
