Senior Performance Engineer

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Performance Engineer in Jersey City, NJ. The candidate will be responsible for developing and implement of software solutions in highly scalable environments with focus on financial technologies particularly electronic trading.

Skills

• 6+ years of experience at minimum as a senior performance engineer
• Strong Performance Testing experience (load, stress, endurance, spike, soak, volume, capacity)
• Have conducted this testing on services with low latency, high throughput, high volume requirements (trading services would be ideal)
• Strong understanding of JVM (services are Java Spring Boot)
• Accustomed to distributed cloud environments, containerized apps and container orchestration and collaborating with DevOps, CloudOps, BE engineers to optimize performance and reliability of systems
• Experience with profiling and instrumentation tools - Dynatrace/Datadog/AppDynamics

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
