We're Partners in Excellence, which means we are committed to achieving the highest quality standards and delivering exceptional experiences for our clients, team members, and the organization.The company operates through four separate business groups:Managed Services – Turn-key Hospitality/Casino Housekeeping, Stewarding, Third Shift Cleaning, Public Area Cleaning, Laundry and Kitchen CleaningHospitality Services – Food & Beverage and Hospitality Staffing for Stadium/Arenas, Schools/Universities, Conventions and Corporate Dining, Caterers and RestaurantsSpecialty Services – Window and Chandelier Cleaning, Pressure Washing, Pool Cleaning and Maintenance, Exterior Building CleaningRole and ResponsibilitiesPerform month-end closing tasks including journal entries and other supportive financial analysis.Assume responsibility over reconciliations of balance sheet accounts ensuring completeness and accuracy of accounts.Assist with the reconciliations that help ensure the completeness and accuracy of our billable hours invoiced to client accepted hours.Assist in the preparation of the Monthly Board and Management reports.Review and reconcile AR and AP agings to General Ledger monthly.Review and understand processes, identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement.Assist with system implementations and software upgrades.Assist with the semi-annual financial audit and preparation of requested information.Learn, understand and manage GL coding setup in Ceridian payroll platform.Assist in the implementation of accounting policies and procedures/conformance with GAAP.May be given additional projects as assigned by Management i.e. ReportsQualifications and ExperienceThorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Ability to multi-task in a very fast paced, high pressure and dynamic environment.Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.Accuracy and attention to detail a must.Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work with all levels of clients and employees.Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision. Must be able to work some overtime during evenings and some weekends.Proficiency with computer software, particularly Office products.Advanced Excel skills including Vlookups and Pivot Tables.At least 2 years of accounting experience within a large ERP Accounting software (Great Plains)BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevantRelevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA ) a plus.The Service Companies is an equal employment opportunity employer.
