Cardiovascular Special Procedures Tech – EP Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work Location: 6200 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093 Work Schedule: PRN; 10 hour shifts, 6:30am-5:00pm, Monday – Friday EP Lab Department Highlights Growing Structural Heart Program and LAAO procedure Ability to cross train to other H&V specialties within Heart and Vascular Great unit to learn and advance skillset Recently remodeled EP lab Requirements Associate’s Degree in Applied Science required Completion of accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology required High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of work experience in invasive cardiology required 1 year of vascular or cardiac angiography preferred ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required upon hire GMRT – General Medical Radiologic Technologist required upon hire ARRT only upon hire preferred RCES – Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist preferred BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required Job Responsibilities Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member prior to exam. Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations. Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique. Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS.
