The Sales Coordinator acts as the primary liaison between Miller and its customers, managing communications related to quotes, order status, inventory availability, product delivery, invoicing, and issue resolution. This role works closely with Sales Managers to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction, while also collaborating with Product Managers and Technical Support to meet evolving customer needs and introduce additional product solutions. The Sales Coordinator is responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships with the goal of driving sales growth and providing timely, consistent communication to both the Sales team and management.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

·         Communicate with all customers in a professional, positive and pleasant attitude. Focus will be on customer retention and the building of quality partnerships with our customers.

·         Provide product information (e.g., product analysis, packaging etc.) and be prepared to recommend specific products based on customer application with the assistance of the Sales Managers, Product Managers and/or Technical Department.

·         Advise customer of current and projected product availability. Review and advise appropriate area of potential supply imbalance in support of customer requirements.

·         Responsible for customer order status' which includes determining appropriate product based on customer specifications vs. Miller and Company specifications, order quoting support, order entering, on time shipping per customer delivery requirements, and following up as appropriate with customer. This position is also responsible for the expediting and tracking of shipments in critical situations and the advising of customers of any deviation from plan.

Sales Activity:

·         Together with the Sales Managers, develop a sales/communication strategy to achieve the sales goals for the area/accounts supported.

·         Together with Sales Managers, grow the business with existing accounts on all products and serve as support for initiating and building customer relationships at potential new accounts.

Pricing:

·         Be prepared to quote prices to ALL current and perspective customers on ALL products by working with Product Managers and Sales Managers, as necessary.

·         Ensure customers are invoiced correctly based on quotes, bids, or contract pricing for all variables inclusive of pricing and payment terms.

·         Ensure contract pricing is approved by Management and entered in system accurately reflecting the price, effective ending dates, payment terms, and all other appropriate data regarding contract.

·         Advise appropriate area before current contract pricing expires to determine if the contract prices are to be renewed or revised.

·         Ensure customer invoices are processed within internal ISO parameters after shipment.

Order Entry:

·         Accurately enter customer orders for product before the end of the same working day order received.

·         Ensure all customer requirements are indicated on orders received, and these instructions are precisely communicated to the appropriate warehouse/docks. All instructions/requests must also be within Miller and Company guidelines and customer requirements.

·         Select and arrange the appropriate freight carrier to ensure customer orders are shipped/delivered as required.

·         Communicate with the appropriate warehouse/dock/toller to ensure orders will be shipped/delivered as required.

Administrative:

·         Ensure appropriate freight costs are entered by the customer invoicing procedure to reflect properly to the customer and within the Miller accounting system.

·         Maintain the Sales Team concept with the Sales Manager through continuous and accurate communication both written and verbal, per Miller requirements.

·         Ensure customer database is accurate and updated when necessary.

·         Disseminate information on market trends within their geographic area of responsibility, as reported by customers, suppliers, docks, warehouse carriers, etc.

·         Monitor inventory levels and work with the Inventory Control Analysts and Product Managers to communicate changes in inventory requirements based on market activity.
