Student Equipment Manager

Assist with the daily operations of the athletic equipment room, including receiving and organizing inventory, managing laundry, distributing gear, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Support student-athletes, coaches, and staff with equipment needs and help prepare for practices, competitions, and team travel.

Detailed Work Schedule: Students have the opportunity to choose shifts that fit their schedule. Once shifts are chosen, that schedule will be weekly for the remainder of the semester. We ask that each student choose 3 shifts minimum (9 hours weekly), and that all commit to at least one weekend shift (Friday, Saturday or Sunday). Weekday Shifts (M-F): 9am-12pm, 12pm-3pm, 3pm-6pm, 6pm-9pm. Weekend Shifts: 9am-12pm, 12pm-3pm, 3pm-6pm, 6pm-9pm. Rotating schedule for Friday and Saturday 6pm-9pm shifts. Must be able to work at least one weekend shift, weekly.

Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to scheduled shifts. Ability to lift/push/pull and move boxes/equipment (up to ~50 lbs). Willingness to perform physical tasks (laundry, stocking, cleaning). Strong communication skills and positive attitude. Ability to follow directions and complete tasks independently. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. Respect for equipment policies, confidentiality, and team spaces.

Additional Information: This is a part-time, on-campus student position for the 202627 academic year, students must be enrolled in classes at Villanova to be eligible for this position. Work schedules are flexible but may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on team needs. Students must follow all equipment room policies and procedures. Training will be provided; no prior experience required. Opportunity to work closely with varsity athletic programs and gain hands-on experience in collegiate athletics operations. Professional conduct and a team-first attitude are expected at all times.

Physical Demands Summary: This position requires standing, walking, and moving for extended periods of time. Duties include lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling equipment and boxes (up to ~50 lbs), as well as frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions (laundry, stocking, organizing). The role may involve working in varying temperatures and requires the ability to safely perform physical tasks throughout the duration of assigned shifts.

Wage Rate: $10.00 per hour
