Travel LPN/LVN – Medical Surgical

Location: Rochester, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days | 3x12-Hour | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

We are seeking a dedicated LPN/LVN with Medical-Surgical experience for a 13-week travel assignment in a GI Overflow/Med-Surg Tele unit. This flexible care area supports patients awaiting inpatient placement and provides a fast-paced environment with a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients within the LPN scope of practice.
• Assist with medication administration, blood glucose monitoring, Foley catheter insertion, NG/G-tube care, feeding tube management, oxygen therapy, and activities of daily living.
• Monitor patient status, document care accurately in Epic, and communicate changes promptly to the healthcare team.
• Follow isolation precautions and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge processes.
• Float to other Medical-Surgical units as needed based on staffing and patient census.

Requirements

• Active LPN/LVN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical-Surgical experience.
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred.
• Comfortable caring for telemetry patients and performing common bedside nursing skills.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Schedule & Additional Information

• Every other weekend required.
• Floating may be required based on operational needs.
• Minimal requested time off preferred.
• Navy blue or white scrubs required.
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required under current guidelines.
