Software Test Engineer

Junior To Mid-Level Software Test EngineerRandstad Engineering is looking for a junior to mid-level software test engineer to join a machinery company in developing autonomous vehicle software in the Indianapolis, IN area. This would be developing and executing test plans and cases as well as drive testing the product. This is a good opportunity to get some experience with the Robot Operating System, path planning, motion control and collision detection and avoidance.Required Skills:1+ years experience with developing and executing test plans and cases1+ years experience of in data analysis tools such as MS Excel1+ years experience of in pythonExperience in GNU/Linux development environments and Linux command-line interface (CLI)Job Duties:Develop and execute test plans and test cases for outdoor autonomous mower systems.Collaborate with software developers and engineers to deploy and test autonomy-related software in outdoor environments.Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware issues, providing hands-on support as needed.Analyze test data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.Provide detailed reports and documentation on test findings, including recommendations for improvements and optimizationsJob Requirements:B.S. or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.1+ years experience with developing and executing test plans and cases1+ years experience of in data analysis tools such as MS Excel1+ years experience of in pythonExperience in GNU/Linux development environments and Linux command-line interface (CLI)Desired Skills & Experience:Familiarity with a Data Distribution Service such as Robot Operating System (ROS/ROS2) software frameworkExperience in Test-Driven Development process and/or unit test framework.Knowledge of robotics such as kinematics/dynamics, computer vision, machine learning, path planning, sensor fusion, and motion controlExperience in agile software development process with Atlassian software development tools (including Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence).
