Principal Data Center Support Technician

Salary: $90,800 - 187,000 per year Requirements:

• We distribute tasks across the team and carry out on-site hardware installation, removal, diagnostics, and troubleshooting without disrupting critical infrastructure.
• We replace server components, perform server upgrades for existing customers, and report results after completion.
• We implement defined network communications solutions, including cabling and networking equipment, while coordinating across teams and providing upward feedback on execution approaches.
• We lead cabling validation, verify device connectivity, and resolve transmission errors, link issues, and bottlenecks.
• We monitor and analyze ticket queues, system logs, and alarm messages to resolve complex incidents.
• We apply technical fixes within service commitments, escalate trends, and document actions and outcomes.
• We ensure adherence to SOPs, MOPs, site rules, and security controls during work at customer locations and offices.
• We promote health and safety compliance, including PPE use, site access procedures, and local data center requirements.
• We train on advanced repair techniques, support continuous improvement, and help maintain change control processes.
• We identify recurring issues, collaborate with global and local teams, and propose solutions.
• We act as a technical liaison between technical and non-technical groups to address resiliency, reliability, and availability risks.
• We help maintain service quality, meet SLAs, support process creation and review, and train newer team members.
• We manage moderately complex tasks, prioritize work across multiple projects, and adapt plans as timelines or resources change.
• We collaborate with stakeholders to align expectations, solve problems, share feedback, and support inclusive teamwork.
• We coach and mentor junior colleagues, contribute to learning efforts, and share knowledge across teams.
• We contribute to process improvements and participate in candidate interviews and hiring recommendations.
