Certified Medical Assistant

Job Description Summary Assist physicians with medical procedures in office. Responsible for phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and maintenance. Qualifications and Requirements Education: High School or GED. Certifications: Valid Medical Assistant Certification (e.g., CMA, CCMA, CMAA, NCMA, RMA, NRCMA, RMA(AAH), MAC) from approved boards. BLS required upon hire or within 30 days. Valid Driver’s License and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations. Previous Experience: One year as a medical assistant in a clinic or physician’s office, with ability to perform venipuncture preferred. Core Capabilities Analysis & Critical Thinking: Problem solving, analysis, decision‑making, planning, time management, and organizational skills; detail oriented with independent judgment. Interpersonal Effectiveness: Emotional intelligence, diplomacy, conflict management, delegation, and diversity awareness; ability to handle confidential and emotionally charged matters. Communication Skills: Good command of English; effective oral, written, and presentation skills; active listening and balanced feedback. Customer Service & Organizational Awareness: Strong customer focus; ability to build a culture of quality and operational excellence through collaboration and partnerships. Self‑Management: Manage own time, priorities, stress, and professional development; self‑motivated and able to work independently with limited supervision in a fast‑paced, multi‑site environment. Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Travel Standard Core Workdays/Hours Monday to Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM. Occasional overtime may be required, and weekend shifts based on location hours and operational needs. Screenings All offers of employment are contingent upon a thorough background screening. FCS requires all new hires to receive various vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine, barring an approved exemption.
