Process EngineerPosition Overview

We are a leading North American manufacturer of plastic packaging with 20+ production facilities, supplying some of the most recognized brands in the consumer and industrial markets. Known for a strong safety culture, continuous improvement mindset, and long-term operational stability. We're looking for a hands-on Process Engineer to support our St. Louis plant. You'll work directly with production and plant leadership to keep molding lines running efficiently, troubleshoot defects, and drive quality from setup through output.

Responsibilities

• Start up, calibrate, and troubleshoot injection and blow molding equipment
• Respond to emergency work orders and resolve hardware/software issues
• Set up molding machines, install molds, adjust cycles, pressures, temperatures, and timing
• Oversee changeovers and ensure they are completed on schedule and to standard
• Define internal quality control plans including gauging methods and inspection frequency
• Review daily check sheets; identify deviations and drive corrective action
• Support new project setups, tool changes, and program adjustments
• Ensure preventive maintenance is completed and documented accurately
• Implement improvements to increase productivity and product quality
• Coordinate production schedules for maximum efficiency
• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards throughout the department

Qualifications

• Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder
• Bachelor's or associate's degree in mechanical/plastics engineering or related field
• Reheat blow process and automation experience required
• Experience with Aoki (ISBM/IBM/IM), Uniloy (IBM), and Zhongya (IM) machinery
• Root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills
• Experience setting oven profiles and working with infeed/outfeed conveyors
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge or training
• Strong decision-making, leadership, and attention to detail
• Ability to travel regionally for training as needed
