Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager Specialized commercial contractor has a new opportunity for an Accounting Manager due to retirement. Privately held, smaller company, in existence for 50 years, with work including at schools, museums, healthcare facilities, and corporate offices. The Accounting Manager reports to the owners, is a one-person department and is responsible for the accounting and human resources functions of the company for about 20 employees. Approximate Base Salary of $85,000-$100,000 based on experience Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager: Accounting, payroll, financial statement prep for CPA firm, light HR/reporting Prepare month end sales and financial statements Create closed jobs report, closed year-to-date recap report, WIPs, and commission report Process AR,AP, ACH, vendor payments Prepare licensing and/or bids, and complete contractor pre-qualifications as needed Maintain employee files, keeping up to date on federal and state required forms Maintain OSHA 300 log Ideal Experience for the Accounting Manager Role: 5+ years of Accounting/Bookkeeping experience with a small business/company Full cycle accounting, general ledger, Financial Statement preparation Experience in construction, installation, industrial services, HVAC, engineering, and/or project related business preferred Light human resources/payroll a plus Able to work independently in a small office, one person function Highlights of the Accounting Manager position: 40-hour work week Low turnover, staff of 25+ years End-to-end ownership of the accounting function Reimbursement for job-related courses Health, dental, vision, life, 401k match, PTO #J-18808-Ljbffr
