Salary Range: $24.00-$26.00+ $5.09 H&W

• This position is Service Contract Act which is subject to Health & Welfare benefits

SUMMARY:

A General Maintenance Worker performs preventative maintenance and repairs (as requested) of equipment and buildings within such trades as plumbing, electrical work, heating and air conditioning, and general facilities work. Preventative maintenance work can vary day to day and is a team environment working together on shared responsibilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform preventative maintenance of multiple types of equipment.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs as required on equipment and machinery.
• Inspect buildings and identify equipment for needed maintenance or repairs.
• Document and communicate identified maintenance needs and repairs.
• Handle quality control assessments/checks with other team members and subcontractors.
• Travel daily to required work sites.
• Affectively communicate with LAUKOA team members, subcontractors, and facility personnel.
• Maintain any required paperwork or administrative tasks daily.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
• Techs must have the all basic essential tools to perform regular job functions. Any specialty tools required for the job / contract will be supplied.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and a min of 5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Computer skills required: Basic computer skills
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Applied analytical skills to recognize when a specialized trade is needed for various tasks
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to lift, up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Strong troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to utilize a tablet or I-Pad in the field as required
• Driver's License
• Be able to travel daily as required to different sites

• Required to drive work vehicles (Large Pickup Trucks)
• Required to drive scissor lift (training can be provided)
• While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Work from heights 10' - 45', using multiple types of ladders and aerial work platforms
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; Peripheral vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus
