Based in New Jersey, with offices nationwide, our client is a well-established, full-service law firm recognized for its client-focused approach, collaborative culture, and commitment to delivering results. The firm is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Associate Attorney to join its growing team, handling sophisticated Chapter 11 reorganizations and complex restructuring matters. Responsibilities
- Represent debtors, creditors' committees, secured and unsecured creditors, equity holders, asset purchasers and estate fiduciaries in Chapter 11 and other restructuring matters
- Draft motions, pleadings, briefs and other bankruptcy court filings with accuracy and efficiency
- Handle bankruptcy litigation, including contested matters, adversary proceedings and court hearings
- Work with senior attorneys and colleagues in litigation, real estate and corporate on complex workouts, asset sales and restructuring transactions
Qualifications
- JD with strong academic credentials and active New Jersey Bar admission in good standing
- 3+ years of bankruptcy and corporate restructuring experience, with litigation experience a plus xxzpjkt
- Strong organizational communication and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-volume environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to advise clients on complex restructuring issues
