The Opportunity

This role exists to define how Flock sounds, shows up, and wins attention at scale. We are building a brand that operates at the intersection of cultural relevance and performance marketing, requiring an exceptional contributor who can craft sharp, original ideas while driving measurable results across paid channels. As a core creative force inside Flock Studios, you will be responsible for shaping messaging, elevating creative output, and helping build a modern content engine powered by both human craft and AI. At Flock, we Build the Impossible, and you will be the voice that carries that mission to the world.

You will work in close partnership with Product Marketing to translate strategy into powerful, effective communication. This means taking core messaging frameworks and elevating them into sharp, compelling copy across every format: long-form storytelling, short-form content, and high-performing paid scripts. You have the ability to internalize complex value propositions and turn them into clear, differentiated, and persuasive narratives that resonate in-market. Partnering directly with our VP, Brand & Creative, you will turn high-level strategy into work that performs in the real world—fast, often, and at a high standard.

What You'll Do
  • Create World-Class Copy: Write sharp, distinctive, and memorable copy across paid social (Meta, YouTube, TikTok), video scripts, campaign concepts, and landing pages while bringing a strong point of view to the work.

  • Own Performance Creative: Translate insights into high-performing ad copy that converts. You will rapidly test, iterate, and optimize messaging based on platform-native behavior and partner with Growth and Demand Gen to continuously improve results.

  • Leverage AI as a Force Multiplier: Act as a power user of AI tools (e.g., GPT-based systems, creative automation) to expand output volume without sacrificing the quality, craft, or soul of the work.

  • Operate at Startup Speed: Produce high volumes of high-quality work under tight timelines. You will prioritize ruthlessly, execute without friction, and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners and marketing teams.

The Skillset
  • A True Craftsperson: You have 10+ years of experience in top-tier advertising agencies, studios, or high-growth brands and care deeply about the intersection of writing, ideas, and execution.

  • A Versatile Portfolio: You demonstrate a proven track record in both conceptual campaigns and performance marketing work, showcasing a distinct voice and range.

  • Performance Expert: You possess a deep understanding of paid social and performance creative, comfortable operating in both "big idea" spaces and high-volume production environments.

  • Intelligent & Adaptive: You are a power user of AI tools who quickly grasps unfamiliar concepts and can translate complex product features into simple, persuasive narratives.

  • Driven & Accountable: You are fast, decisive, and take initiative without being asked, setting and beating ambitious goals for your creative output.

  • High-Performance Partner: You have low ego but high standards; you are solution-oriented when things get difficult and are obsessed with making the work better.

90 Days at Flock

We prescribe to 90 day plans and believe that good days lead to good weeks, which lead to good months. This serves as a preview of the 90 day plan you will receive if you were to be hired in this role at Flock Safety.

The First 30 Days
  • Immerse yourself in the Flock product suite and ICP profiles, partnering with Product Marketing to internalize complex messaging frameworks.

  • Audit current ad performance and establish a high-cadence rhythm of shipping sharp, distinctive copy for paid social and video scripts.

  • Integrate AI-powered creative workflows into your daily process to expand messaging variations and testing capabilities.

The First 60 Days
  • Scale output volume and iteration speed, using performance data from Growth and Demand Gen teams to refine and optimize creative assets.

  • Deliver polished, first-pass drafts for landing pages and performance funnels that require minimal revision and drive measurable conversion lift.

  • Establish a strong point of view within Flock Studios, acting as a reliable lead on multi-format campaign concepts.

90 Days and Beyond
  • Fully own the translation of high-level brand strategy into actionable, high-performing copy that wins attention and drives mission-critical results.

  • Serve as a force multiplier within the creative team, leveraging AI and platform-native insights to stay ahead of cultural and marketing trends.

  • Drive the continuous evolution of the "Flock Voice," ensuring our storytelling remains as innovative and impactful as the technology we build.

Salary & Equity

In this role, you'll receive a starting salary between $105,000 and $140,000 as well as Flock Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in-depth with you during our first chat.

We're building the impossible, together. To drive innovation through in-person collaboration, we're prioritizing candidates in our key hubs: Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, New York City, and San Francisco.
